Sam Raney & Company was started in 1971 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It has always been an agency that focused on assisting clients with a heavy emphasis on life and health insurance. We are a brokerage agency representing many major life and health insurance companies. We only represent insurance companies who are rated A or A+ concerning their financial abilities to meet current and future obligations.
Our agency is staffed with two qualified agents. Sam Raney has 52 years of experience in the insurance business and Jeremy Raney has 25 years of experience. In 2010 the affordable care act was passed by congress and that changed how health insurance is marketed in the United States. Our agency has always played a major role in marketing health insurance products under the affordable care act. Sam Raney & Company is a leading agency with the Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance company. We also assist and advise clients on disability insurance planning, long term care and nursing home planning. We are a major agency in retirement planning utilizing annuities as a funding vehicle which gives our clients a guaranteed lifetime income.
Finally, we are highly involved in Medicare planning with our senior citizens. We assist our clients in signing up for Medicare and then advise them on how to use Medicare supplements to supplement their Medicare insurance.

Sam Raney
About Sam
Sam Raney entered the insurance business in 1971. Fifty one years later Sam Raney & Company is still serving clients in upstate South Carolina.
Sam has played a major part in his industry by serving as President of the Spartanburg County National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He is a former member of his industry's million dollar round table which recognizes the top two percent of agents in the nation.
In 1975 Sam served as state president of the South Carolina Jaycees where he used his leadership to develop young leaders in 120 chapters in South Carolina. He is currently serving as a board member of the North Spartanburg Rotary Club. He is also a member of Inman First Baptist Church where he serves in a ministry that serves homeless and near homeless families. Sam helped establish the Corner of Hope ministry in 2015.

Jeremy Raney
About Jeremy
Jeremy Raney entered the insurance business in 1998. He has twenty four years of experience in helping his clients with health insurance needs, life insurance, medicare supplements, annuities, and disability income insurance.
He is licensed through Healthcare.Gov to assist and enroll clients into the Affordable Care Act policies. He is a leading agent in Spartanburg County with Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance Company.
He graduated from University of South Carolina with a double degree in finance and economics.
